The Latent Heart Square is a 12 inch crochet square, perfect for an afghan. Crochet yours in as many colors as you like, or in a single color if you wish, it’s completely up to you.

CA – Color A, CB – Color B, CC – Color C, CD – Color D

3dc cluster- yarn over (yo) insert hook in st, yo and pull through loop, yo and pull through two loops 3x, leaving 4 loops remaining on hook, yo and pull through all four loops.

NOTES

Ch 3 counts as first dc.

Color changes are notated in pattern but you can use whatever color combinations/changes you want. No matter what color selections you make, you will need to fasten off the yarn on rows 4, 5 & 6, in order for the next row to be set up right, all other rows you can sl st over to the first st of next round before changing color.

Rows 4 & 5 are the hearts, you may want to make these a specific color.

Each round will end with sl st into the top of the beginning ch-3 unless otherwise noted.
