Lateral Thinking
A textured cuff in a simple slip-stitch pattern is started with a provisional cast on and then worked flat and wrapped around the ankle for a neat detail. The stitches for the foot are picked up along the one row edge after the cuff is complete. The foot is then worked in the round.
Additional gauge check is:
37 sts & 50 rows = 4” 10cm in tweed stitch (for cuff)
