Lava
Lava is an asymmetrical richly-textured shawl made with three skeins of Malabrigo Rios in two colors.
It begins at the narrow tip and grows into a beautiful accent piece which is easy to make as small or large as you wish. The length can be customized by working more or fewer rows within each or any of the three sections as desired.
The pattern uses the simplest crochet stitches: single crochet and chain. The large chain loops made when transitioning colors are fun to make and allow the colors to flow one into the other. Each of the three color sections uses one skein of yarn.
