This simple lace pattern very effectively shows off the beautiful result when variegated Koigu yarn is held together with Kidsilk Haze. When choosing a color for the mohair, keep in mind that it will act as a wash of color throughout the cowl and blend with the colors in the Koigu.

Instead of holding a laceweight and fingering together, you could substitute a single strand of sport or DK.

A grafted option is provided for knitters who prefer their cowls seamless, but instructions for seaming are also included.

While Lavendel is written for one size, it can be easily increased in width and length simply by working additional chart repeats. The 24” length will use up most of two hanks of KPPPM, so if you choose to make it longer or wider you will need more yarn.
