Lavender Fields
This shawl is the first of 4 designs in my Summer in Provence e-book.
This wavy-edged triangular shawl was inspired by lavender fields and flowers. It is a charted and written lace design, with lace knitting on every other row. It can be knit in any weight of yarn by adjusting the number of repeats of the main chart.
The purple fingering weight version is knit in Posh Yarn Miranda 4 ply (~575 yds). The pink worsted weight version is knit in Berocco Ultra Alpaca
The shawl is knit from the top centre out, beginning with a tab cast on. The pattern includes stitches like yo, single decreases (ssk, k2tog) and double decreases (sssk, k3tog), triple decreases (ssssk, k4tog) and nupps (can be replaced by beads).
