The chevron stitch pattern on the body of this cardigan is knit in a lovely shade of lavender. Knit sleeves in zig zag stripes are achieved just by color changing and not intarsia which makes for a quicker knit. Finished off with a row of buttons, this cardigan is a keeper for sure.

Materials

Yarn: Baah! La Jolla (100% Merino Wool; 400 yards 366 meter/100g): Lavender (MC), 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4) skeins; Grape Jelly (CC for sleeves), 1 skein

Needles: US size 5 (3.75 mm): circular

Notions: Tapestry Needle; 9 (10, 11, 12, 12, 13, 13, 13) 5/8” 1.6 cm buttons; stitch holder or waste yarn.

Special Stitches: Kyok; Center Double Decrease (cdd); Chevron Stitch Pattern

Pattern Notes ~ This sweater is worked from the bottom up with raglan shaping for the body and sleeves in pieces. It is seamed together (no intarsia just happy stripes on the sleeves!) and a button band is added to the front. Work all waist and raglan decreases and increases 1 st from edge to allow for seaming.
