ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Lavinia Shawlette is a simple crescent shawl worked in fingering weight yarn with a lacy Roman Stripe at the bottom. Lots of stockinette stitch makes this a great project to take on the go.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
One Size: About 52” (132 cm) wingspan by 14” (35.5 cm) deep

MATERIALS
Yarn:
420 yds (385 m) Fingering weight yarn, optional 25 yds (23 m) DK weight yarn for finishing
Sample shawls knit in Araucania Yarns Huasco Sock in the color 1001 Capuchinbird and Malabrigo Mechita in the color 227 Volcan finished with 20 yds (18 m) of complementary DK weight yarn on the Bottom Edging and Bind Off. Each sample used very nearly all of one ball or about 420 yards (100 g).
Needles: Size US 2 (3.00 mm) circular(s) (or size needed to get gauge), optional Size US 4 (3.50 mm) circular for DK weight finishing
Notions: tapestry needle
