Lazy Daisy Chain
by Susan Huxley
This pattern is available as a
free Ravelry download
A great project for teaching the most basic crochet stitches: slip knot and chain. And students will also learn how to count chain stitches!
This free pdf download is intended as a teacher’s aid … whether your student is a 10-year-old neighbor or a classroom of eager learners. The chain can be any length and worked in any yarn. Space-dyed worsted weight looks best, as does working to a snug gauge (hardly a problem for most beginners).
When complete, tie the tails together to make a bracelet or necklace. Or sew it to a pocket or neckline on a garment.
