The Lacy Summer shawl is constructed to be knit in the round to avoid purling as much as possible.
Actually, you will just purl while working the lace pattern, and not more than a few stitches.
Beginning with a provisional cast on in the middle of the long side, this shawl is worked towards all 4 cardinal points to achieve a rectangular shape
A lace border of only a few pattern-rows will finish this lightweight project, for more effect, you may add the optional pattern in the triangle (as shown). - A perfectly easy summer-knit.

MEDIUM: 47 cm wide and 152 cm long / 18.75” wide and 61” long
LARGE: 56 cm wide and 160 cm long / 22.5” wide and 64” long

Gauge
10 cm / 4 inches = 21 sts and 34 R in stockinette stitch – blocked
Gauge is not crucial for this design; a divergent gauge may lead to a differing size and yarn consumption.

Der Lazy Summer Schal ist so konstruiert, dass in Runden nur mit rechten Maschen gestrickt wird,
tatsächlich werden nur ganz wenige Maschen im Spitzenmuster links gestrickt.
Beginnend in der Mitte der Längsseite, wird der Schal von innen heraus zum Rand gearbeitet.
Das Spitzenmuster ist nicht zu kompliziert und auch an heißen Sommertagen noch problemlos machbar.
Es stehen 3 Größen-Varianten zur Auswahl, die Länge kann noch zusätzlich angepasst werden. Muster nur am Rand oder auch im Dreieck (wie abgebildet).
