This cute, flouncy skirt is so much fun to wear. It’s perfect for the person who wants a crocheted skirt but doesn’t have the time to make a closed stitch one. The open pattern makes it go pretty quickly! It can be worn over a straight skirt or full skirt, or with leggings underneath, or even as a poncho! The yarn may be thinner than what you’re used to working with, but trust me, this works up pretty quickly with the recommended larger hook.

The waist hip area has a beginning check at the side, making it easy to add or delete rows to fit around your body if your gauge is a little off. The shirt side seam is sewn, then yarn is attached and you’ll be working in the round.

To make this for your little girl, just use a hook that’s two or three sizes smaller.
