Hooked on Sunshine

Le Jardin Tropical
Wandering through Le Jardin Tropical feels like stepping into a lush green sanctuary, where every path reveals a new botanical treasure.
Towering Monstera leaves create a dramatic canopy, their iconic split foliage adding texture and tropical charm to the peaceful surroundings.
The vibrant greenery, dappled sunlight, and tranquil atmosphere make every stroll an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and appreciate the beauty of nature.
I made a boxed ottoman cover, but the options are endless with this one! Think blanket, cushion cover, tote bag, book cover, pencil case, crochet essentials bag, storage box cover, placemat, table runner… the sky is the limit!
It uses US terminology.
Skill level - Intermediate with some tricksy bits.
Material list:
• Any yarn of your choice – I used Colourspun DK Cotton (50g/125m).
• 3mm hook or hook compatible with yarn used (for this specific project, I used a smaller hook than recommended to give the fabric a tighter weave).
• 3.5mm hook to fill the edges (you will need a hook a half size bigger than what you use for the rest of the project).
• Stitch markers.
• Needle for joining and sewing in ends.
In the prelude (beginning pages) of the pattern you will find detailed stitch tutorials, yarn quantities used and many many more bits of useful info!
• Yarn quantities are dependent on what you will be making with the motif.
• I used my motifs to cover a 40cm x 40cm x 40cm boxed ottoman and used approximately 950g to complete the cover.
Throughout the written pattern there are detailed photo tutorials.
