Le Radieux is my intarsia homage to Le Corbusier’s Cité Radieuse: architectural geometry and the shafts of light it creates dissolved into stitches; modernism rendered in wool!

This sweater is worked from the top down. You will start by knitting the front yoke, in the the form of two front ‘triangles’, that are shaped it by making increases as you go down. The triangles are then linked with cast-on stitches for the bottom front neck. Raglan increases along the sleeve edge are continued to be worked as you start to knit the front panel in Intarsia. When you reach the correct length for the raglan sleeves, you will cast on 6 stitches either side of the underarm and continue the Chart straight down. The back, and two sleeves, are then worked flat following the Intarsia Charts. Lastly, you’ll seam along the raglan sleeve edges and down the sides before working the neckband in the round. The bottom ribbing is un-attached, allowing for a loose fit.
