PATTERN INFORMATION
Leaf Lace Cardigan is a light top-down raglan cardigan, made in fingering yarn, with an eye-catching leaf lace panel at the back.

Sizes
1.5 (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 years)
Shown in size 10 years with 10 cm/4 in of positive ease.
Finished chest circumference (buttoned up): 53 (57.5,
63.5, 68, 73, 77.5, 83.5) cm/20.75 (22.75, 25, 26.75, 28.75, 30.5, 32.75) in.
Finished length top of shoulder to hem: 31 (31, 33, 35.5, 41, 44, 51) cm/12.25 (12.25, 13, 14, 16.25, 17.5, 20) in.
The cardigan is designed with approx. 7 cm/2.75 in of
positive ease.

Gauge (blocked)
Stockinette Stitch: 26 sts and 36 rows = 10 cm/4 in, with
larger needle,
Lace Panel: 13.5 cm/5.25 in wide at widest point, with
larger needle.

Take time to make a gauge swatch. Adjust needle size, if necessary.

Yarn
1 (1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3) skeins of Malabrigo Sock (100% merino wool, 402 m/440 yds per 100g, shown in Lettuce) or 340 (400, 520, 610, 750, 880, 1000) m/375 (440, 565, 670, 825, 970, 1100) yds of fingering weight yarn.
Use yarn that blocks well.

Needles and Notions
3.25 mm (US #3) circular needle, 80 cm/31 in long,
2.75 mm (US #2) circular needle, 80 cm/31 in long,
3.25 mm (US #3) needle(s) in your preferred style for knitting small circumferences,
6 st markers, 2 of them removable,
scrap yarn,
5 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 8) 18 mm buttons.

Skills Needed
Long tail and backward loop cast-on, stockinette and garter stitch, increases, decreases, working in the round, short rows, picking up stitches, working a lace pattern.
