Léas (Irish for ‘glimmer’, and pronounced lace / lay-us, depending on dialect) Coffee and Tea Cosy patterns use motifs inspired by twinkling fairy lights, and flickering candle flames, to brighten up dull winter days and long winter nights.
Both patterns give you a simple introduction to steek projects.
The Coffee Cosy is knit as a cylinder, before cutting steek stitches and finishing edges with applied I-cord. The tea cosy is knit in the round, with added steek stitches, and crown shaping. The patterns are worked in a woollen-spun wool yarn for extra stickiness - great reassurance for those new to cutting steeks.
