The Leerdam Basics Cowl is made of repeating stripes of the bold Woven Chevron Stitch that frames the gentle, quick Linen Stitch and classic Brick Stitch. Bands of stockinette stitch in between these stripes give your slip stitches room to shine and you a bit of mindless knitting!

CONSTRUCTION

The Leerdam Basics cowl is knit sideways in the round to create a long tube for double the warmth and a seamless look. It starts with a provisional cast-on and a stockinette band followed by a slip stitch section (including 3 different patterns arranged symmetrically). There is a total of 3 slip stitch sections, alternated with stockinette. The cowl finishes with another stockinette band, making it very easy to graft last row to the first one with Kitchener Stitch to join the tube into a loop.
