Lehvä
This shawl is designed for web magazine Ulla. I needed a festive shawl for a formal dinner and as the yarn was given to me with a wish to have a design for the yarn, I didn’t have to think twice.
The design is called Lehvä which is a sprig in Finnish. The original idea was to make a design with a certain amount of asymmetry and as I seached for leaf patterns, I chose patterns that went well together but weren’t similar at all.
The pattern is easily modified, the web lace can be knit as narrow or as wide as you like and the panels can be arranged in any order.
For now (due to studying) the pattern will be awailable only in Finnish. The panels are charted, and the hem structure quite similar as in the video except the open stitches are knitted together to get the required amount of stitches.
