This hoodie is knit from the bottom up, seamlessly. Once it gets into the yoke it switches to back and forth seamless knitting. All the borders are knit with the body, there is no picking up necessary.
This pattern assumes you know how to kitchener stitch (or graft). You may want to find a tutorial and learn before starting.
