Like an ice-cold batch of lemonade on the first hot day of spring, these sock will keep you feeling refreshed for a long time.
Joyful colors and easy-to-memorize stranded colorwork make Lemonade Socks a standout pair in your sock collection. The short row heel is fun to knit with a little extra texture from garter stitch. Lemonade Socks are knitted from cuff down.
MATERIALS
Yarn: 1 (1, 1) skein of Twist Sock by Hedgehog Fibres, colorway Ghost as MC. Approx. 285 (320, 350) yds / 260 (290, 320) m of fingering weight yarn in MC.
1 (1, 1) skein of Twist Sock by Hedgehog Fibres, colorway Highlighter as CC. Approx. 160 (190, 230) yds / 150 (175, 210) m of fingering weight yarn in CC.
Needles: US 1½ (2.5 mm) and US 0 (2 mm) dpns or circular needles, if you are using magic loop technique for small circumference knitting.
SIZING
1 (2, 3)
Finished Circumference of the Foot and of the Leg of the Sock: 7 (8, 9)” / 18 (20, 23) cm. Choose a size with 0-1” (0-2.5 cm) of negative ease.
GAUGE
35 sts and 38 rounds = 4” (10 cm) of Colorwork Stockinette stitch, using larger needles, after blocking.
