The Lenten MKAL for 2026 is a crescent shawl worked from the top down in gansey-style knit-purl patterns and simple lace.

There will be seven clues. The first clue will drop Ash Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Following clues will drop each Sunday after until March 29, 2026. Each clue will include instructions for that week’s knitting, as well as daily scriptures and meditations.

Yarn: DK weight
Main Color: 390 yds
Contrast Color: 140 yds
Gauge is not critical, but may affect the amount of yarn needed.
