Lesley Shawl
Lesley, meaning “from the gray fortress”, is a top down shawl in two shades of gray, with a lace border suggestive of the monotone but beautiful latticing on cathedral and castle windows.
Construction: Shawl is knit top down beginning with a center tab, then worked to the border with increases on the edges and center spine.
Size: 65” wide, 24” long at spine (165 x 61cm)
Yarn: The Plucky Knitter Primo DK (200yds/183m, 105g/3.7oz, 75% merino wool, 20% cashmere, 5% nylon)
2 skeins Main Color – Mixed Tape
2 skein Contrast Color – Chimney Sweep
Needles: US 7 (4.5mm) 32”/80cm or longer circular needles, or size to obtain gauge
Gauge: after blocking, 18.5 sts & 28 rows to 4” (10cm) in stockintte
before blocking, 20 sts & 28 rows
