INFO
‘Liberty Ferry’ is a design rich in both graphic impact and symbolic meaning. Sweeping diagonal lines cascade down to an elegant braided cable, creating a rhythmic, classic pattern that is perfect for either solid or tonally dyed yarns.

The shawl has a deeper significance as well: it is a memento of a visit to New York’s cherished icon, Lady Liberty, and it suggests how people from different lands, each following his or her own path, can be brought together by knitting, as their lives intertwine in a harmonious and rewarding shared experience.

Liberty Ferry has an asymmetrical shape with a built-in I-cord edge and is worked flat from the right tip to the left edge. The cable section runs through the entire shawl. The pattern is fully written out with stitch counts and is also charted.
