Lichen Lace Wrap
Who says crochet is only for the cool months? The Lichen Lace Wrap is your new go-to pattern for that perfect Summer layering piece.
You will need:
-Yarn: 925 yds/846m of fingering (1) weight yarn. I used a 50/50 superwash merino/silk blend from Dye2Spin. Testers also used: Scheepjes Whirl, Hobbii Twirls Deluxe, Stitch Studio by Nicole, Hikoo CoBaSi, WeCrochet Chroma Fingering and KnitPicks Stroll.
-Hook: US F/3.75mm hook, or size needed to meet gauge
-Notions: measuring tape, scissors, yarn needle, blocking mat and pins, tassel maker or small piece of cardboard (optional)
Techniques:
Double crochet, cluster stitch, chain, increasing, decreasing.
Gauge and blocking:
Gauge is not super important for this one unless you are being mindful of yarn usage, then it is recommended to meet gauge as closely as possible. Blocking is essential to achieve the light and lacy look of the wrap.
The pattern is written for one size, approximately 88”/223.5cm long, 14.5”/37cm wide when finished. It includes instructions for customizing both length and width.
