The cowl features a beautiful lace pattern and knit-on I-cord edge for structure and finished smooth look. Liguria cowl
is worked flat. You can knit it as long as you like, the pattern tells you how to knit regular one time around neck cowl
and double wrap cowl. At first lace pattern might seem intimidating, but after a few repeats, it will be smooth
sailing.
This cowl begins with a provisional cast on and uses Kitchener Stitch to join for a smooth, invisible finish

Materials
Yarn: Heavy fingering weight yarn 175 m in 50g. In the sample used “Alpaca fine”, 45% wool, 30% acrylic, 25% alpaca.
Size small: Approx. 257 yards, (235 m), 67 g.
Size large: Approx. 556 yards, (508 m), 145 g.
Needles: Two sets of US 6 (4 mm) needles.
Other notions: Tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires, scrap yarn for provisional cast on, crochet hook.

Gauge
18 sts and 28 rows 4” (10cm) in lace pattern on US 6 (4 mm) needles after blocking, knitted flat.
Gauge is not critical for this project, but differences will affect your yardage requirements and the finished size.
