This is a scarf I designed and knitted as a present to my doctoral student Liina on the occasion of her thesis defense.

The construction is simple. The shawl starts from one tip and increases are done form one side in every right side row. Once the desired width is achieved, it is followed by the straight section follows and the decrease section starts. Decreases are worked in every right side row.

Easily customizable. Make wider, longer, shorter, whatever you prefer.

The gauge is not critical. Use linen or merino-silk blend or wool, whatever gives a nice drape and the fabric you like.
