This Fall capsule collection by Lana Jois is full of texture: squishable rib going horizontally, vertically, and even diagonally (!), the drape of linen, and the contrast in gauzy mohair and lustrous silk. MATERIALS
Manos del Uruguay SILK BLEND (70% extrafine merino wool, 30% silk; approx. 150 yds/50 g): 7 (8, 8, 9) (10, 11, 12, 13) sks.

US 7/4.5mm 24” circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
US G–7/4.5mm crochet hook
Smooth, contrasting waste yarn for provisional cast-on
Cable needle
Stitch markers
Stitch holders (can substitute waste yarn)
Spare circular needle same size or smaller than main needle
Tapestry needle

GAUGE
26 sts and 27½ rows = 4”/10cm in cable patterns.

NOTES
This project is worked sideways in one piece. After finishing the right sleeve, stitches are provisionally cast on for the right side of the body which is worked to the start of the neck opening with increases to shape the shoulder. The piece is divided for working the front and back separately on each side of the neck opening, then rejoined for working the left side of the body with decreases to shape the shoulder. Live stitches for the left side are placed on holders at the end of the body, and the left sleeve is worked to the cuff.

During finishing, the side stitches from the provisional cast-on and the body stitch holders are joined using Kitchener Stitch. The lower edge ribbing is picked up and knit down from the lower body opening.

The instructions are written for a specific number of rows, so the correct row gauge is critical to achieving the correct measurements.
