ABOUT THE PATTERN
The Lilas Dress is a long, openwork dress that’s light and comfortable, perfect for summer. It also looks great layered over jeans with a t-shirt underneath for a more casual style.
The dress is knit from the top down back and forth using circular needles.
Start with the top, then switch to a larger needle size for the central section, and again for the ruffled hem at the bottom.
Finally, sew the back of the dress and attach the straps.
This pattern is suited for intermediate knitters.

Chest Circumference:

Hips Circumference:
82-86 (86-90) 90-94 (94-98) 98-102 (102-106) 106-110 (110-114) 114-118 (118-122) 122-126 (126-130) 130-134 cm.

Measure your own chest and hips circumference to determine which size will fit you the best.
If your measurements correspond to different sizes, prioritize the chest measurement when choosing your size.

MEASUREMENTS
The Lilas Dress has approx. 4 cm of positive ease at the bust and 30 cm at the hips. This means the dress is about 4 cm wider than your actual bust measurement and around 30 cm wider than your hip measurement.

The lace stitch used in this pattern is a slippery stitch, using bamboo needles can help prevent losing stitches.

GAUGE
Post-blocked gauge: 5.5 sts x 11 rows = 10 x 10 cm, in lace stitch, with 2 strands of yarn held together, on needle size 5 mm US8
for the RS rows and needle size 7 mm for the WS rows.

Make a swatch to achieve the same gauge as indicated above; see the instructions for the lace stitch on page 2.
Needle size is only a guide. If you get too many stitches on 10 cm = 4”, change to a larger needle size. If you get too few stitches on
10 cm = 4”, change to a smaller needle size.
Wash and block your swatch
