Materials

• Yarn: aran weight; Berroco Weekend (aran weight, 8 WPI) is the sample yarn. Cotton or any aran weight fiber works well with the mesh stitch.
• Yardage: approximately 650-1,300 yards (594-1,189 m) depending on finished size
• Hook: 5 mm (US 8)
• Gauge: 14 sts x 8 rows = 4 inches in double crochet
• Notions: tapestry needle for weaving in ends; stitch markers helpful at increase points

Sizing

• One size as written: 24 inches deep, 54 inches wide
• Stop early for a smaller shawlette, kerchief, or neck scarf; the top-down construction makes it simple to customize the finished length
