Lilly Gingham Tablemat
The Lilly Gingham Placemat is rectangular shaped placemat that is a perfect addition to your cozy dinning at home or out in woods in a remote cabin.
The pattern is designed in Tunisian crochet using Tunisian simple stitch and two different colours. Alternating colours on forward and return pass creates gingham-like colour effect with minimum of ends to weave in.
The repetitive stitch pattern and chunky yarn weight makes it a great beginner-friendly Tunisian crochet project that can be made in an evening.
Skills required
Chain, Tunisian crochet technique (alternating forward and return passes), Tunisian simple stitch (tss), Tunisian simple stitch bind-off, blocking, single crochet (sc).
