This simple, yet elegant, design uses only three different stitch
combinations to create a flow of color that weaves throughout the shawl(ette).
Using Pacolet Valley’s Fingering Cotton yarn will yield
a garment that is soft to the touch with a lovely drape (54” wide x 27” deep).
This pattern can use all different weights in combination with one another making it a great stash buster.

Materials:
5 oz Pacolet Valley Southern Bales Fingering -or-
8 oz of fingering and worsted used alternatively.

To make a shawl of many different colors use:
1 oz / 120 yd rainbow dyed
& 4—1 oz / 120 yd of 2-4 solid colors

You can make it with less color variation, but it is best to
have an odd number of yarns.

Needles: US Size 3 (or larger for heavier yarn: wosted: US Size 6
Gauge: 6-7 stitches per inch. (or 5-6 with worsted)

Other Stuff You Will Need: down time, 2 stitch markers, daring color curiosity-try different colors together, knit a few rows … if you don’t like it, rip it out and try another color…experiment boldly, that is where the magic lives.
