Linen Headband - Tunisian Crochet
Linen Headband is a warm Tunisian crochet headband with a firm, textured fabric and a simple twisted front. The stitch pattern creates a linen-like surface with a clear two-colour effect, giving the headband structure without making the construction complicated. The headband is worked flat in Tunisian simple stitch using two colours.
The colours are changed on the closing rows, which creates the striped, woven look across the fabric. The piece is crocheted as a long rectangle and then sewn together at the ends to form the twisted knot detail at the front.
The pattern includes six sizes, from baby to adult, and can be made in two widths.
The smaller width gives a lighter headband, while the larger width gives more coverage around the ears. This makes the pattern easy to adjust depending on who it is made for and how warm you want the finished piece to be.

Design details
Linen Headband is defined by its dense Tunisian crochet fabric and twisted assembly. The flat construction keeps the pattern approachable to handle, while the colour changes add depth to the texture. The twist is created during sewing, so no shaping is needed while crocheting.
