The Linen Pixel Temperature Blanket is constructed in strips worked bottom up. Additional strips are added using the join-as-you-go method for a seamless join. Each strip is 20 blocks (with each block representing a day of the year), and there are 18 total strips. After the body of the blanket is completed, a border is made to encompass the remaining days of the year. Finally, all ends are weaved in, and the blanket is lightly steam blocked (optional).

This blanket is designed to fit a queen size bed, but you can adjust the size of the squares to make the blanket bigger or smaller. My squares are 4.5” each.

This blanket uses a lot of yarn. I used north of 6000 yards. The large amount is due to the size, the use of 15 different colors, as well as the large number of color changes (resulting in long ends to be trimmed). To minimize the amount of yarn, use less colors, make your blanket smaller, or use a heavier weight of yarn.
