Linen Tube Clutch
Pattern description from Bag Style: “On a recent trip to the Bahamas, Ruthie Nussbaum was fascinated by the intricately woven straw baskets, bags, and placemats in the Straw Market of downtown Nassau. She translated these shapes, textures, and colors into this unusual linen clutch. Ruthie knitted the bag in two layers - a stockinette-stitch inner layer and a textured outer layer - and sandwiched flexible plastic needlepoint canvas between the two. She sewed the layers to knitted circles to give the bag its distinctive shape, then finished it with a few rows of crochet with built-in handles.”
