Lines in the Sand Brioche Scarf
A simple use of 2-color brioche to make a squishy ribbed scarf with a pattern of increases and decreases along one side.
The Brioche technique uses more yarn than most stitches, and is thicker and denser than regular garter or stockinette. It will not curl and can be used for a multitude of projects. Two rows of Brioche knitting must be worked to equal a complete row, as half the stitches are slipped each time. Once you get the rhythm of it, it’s fun to do and the results are worth the effort!
Fixing mistakes in Brioche knitting is tricky, so try not to make any! But if you do, the best solution is to “tink” back to a spot before the mistake was made and then go forward again. Check your work every row for mistakes before moving on.
