The Best of The Fibre Co. is a reimagined collection of some of the most popular designs published by The Fibre Co. The seven garments and accessories featured in this collection are chosen to represent The Fibre Co. at its best. They have taken each design and reknit it either in a new colourway or a different yarn.

Lingholm is a cape-length oval shawl, knitted from the back of the neck outwards, incorporating raglan shaping for a beautiful fit on the shoulders. Using a flowing series of contrasting textural lace stitches and eyelets meant to showcase the luxurious yarn used to knit it, Lingholm is a soft-as-a-feather accessory which will keep you surprisingly warm. The delicate edging makes use of short rows to create a subtle hi-lo hemline.

The shawl is knit in stocking stitch lace from the neck outward with a small amount of work to be done on WS rows. This pattern is knit from charts.

This pattern assumes you are an adventurous intermediate, or advanced knitter, that you have knit lace before, and know how to knit from a chart. Techniques used in this shawl include:

• Gathered and wrapped stitches (nupps, large eyelet stitches with
multiple increases)
• Multiple yarn overs (treble and quadruple yarnovers)
• Yarn over on the edge of work
• Short rows
• Various directional decreases
• Cabling
• Crochet provisional cast on
