Linking Hip Sash
by Lynne Barr
No gauge was provided.
The pattern begins on page 170, and refers to the special instruction section at the back of the book. It also uses unusual abbreviations.
The construction involves short rows and grafting, as well as different ways to use yarnovers.
There are a number of photos integral to the pattern to explain the special instructions.
There is an option for a single row of loops, as well as a double row.
The pattern provides instructions for extending (or shortening) the length, by adding (subtracting) approximately a 1.5” increment for each extra (unwanted) loop. The pattern recommends:
“If you lengthen the sash beyond 36”, you will need to purchase another hank of yarn.”
