Linus the Elephant is a little toy for baby to play with. This is a flat toy with the body knitted in one piece in an elephant shape, and the ears knitted separately and sewn on the sides. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, Linus is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.5mm single pointed knitting needles (US 4)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Paintbox Yarns Simply DK; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; 25g in grey.

NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, stitch holders, and black yarn to embroider the eyes.

SIZES
One size only - 12cm tall x 13cm wide.

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, short row shaping for the ears, and seaming to finish.
