THE LINKED leaf stitch pattern has similar properties to a rib-based design, as the curving cable lines run parallel to each other. This creates plenty of elasticity, with the curves bringing a great deal of movement in the pattern. A leaf motif is tucked into each bend of the cable lines. These motifs form a horizontal band of pattern, while the cable lines provide the vertical links. The pattern panel is placed centrally; however, there is an asymmetric look to the sweater as the cables move left and then right.
