The Super Chunky lips Tank is worked in super chunky yarn (we use Rowan Big Wool), constructed in two separate pieces—front and back—both knitted flat in stocking stitch. The design is finished with 1x1 rib trims at the hem, neckline, and armholes, with the neckband and armbands picked up and worked after front and back are complete.

The lips motif is worked following a template included in the pattern, stick with classic red or get creative with bold colour combinations (looks great in fuchsia). We use a variegated yarn to give the lips a textured effect. This tank is a great beginner-friendly introduction to colour work. To keep your stitches neat and avoid long floats at the back, try working with two separate balls of black yarn for a smooth and even finish. To prevent holes in your work ensure you twist the yarns together at back of work when changing colour.
