Lithuania Fingerless Gloves
Pattern includes a visual plan, planning worksheet and step-by-step project sheet to be used to create your personalized gloves.
Yarn: Smooth, springy worsted weight with a size 7 or 8 needle (4.5 or 5 mm) is best to practice with and to show off the color patterns best, but any weight yarn will work. To fit a large motif you will need to choose 500 yards of a fine weight yarn and size 0 or 1 (between 2 and 2.5 mm) needles or whatever gives you a gauge of about 8 st/inch (32 per 10 cm).
Knitting needles: size appropriate for chosen yarn: double point set of 4 or 5; For ribbing: 1 set of 4 or 5 dpn in 2 sizes smaller than primary needles. (book includes tips for choosing lengths of circular needles if you would choose those over double points)
Additional supplies: stitch marker (optional)
Sizes: Child: circumference 6.5 inches (16.5 cm)
Women’s medium: circumference 7.5 inches (19 cm)
Women’s large or men’s medium: circumference 8.5 inches (21.5 cm)
