Little Acorn socks are inspired by the changing seasons and are a celebration of the arrival of Autumn.

This pattern is written in English and has step by step written instructions and a chart for the colourwork sections.

These socks are knit from the top down and have a traditional heel-flap and gusset, however any heel can be substituted. There are colourwork sections on the leg and on the foot just before the toe is knitted.

Needle size is chosen according to the size required and gauge for the colourwork section.

  • Small (foot circumference 19-20cm) 2.25mm (US1) needles, 38sts x 40 rounds 10cm
  • Medium (foot circumference 21-22cm) 2.5mm (US1.5) needles, 34sts x 38 rounds 10cm
  • Large (foot circumference 23-24cm) 2.75mm (US2) needles, 32sts x 36 rounds 10cm

Foot length is adjustable
