Little Dart Socks
In this design a plain coloured 4ply yarn is used with the sock yarn in a pattern which focuses on the back of the leg and heel flap. The little dart pattern changes to stripes as it moves into the heel and these take over for the rest of the design travelling along the sole and into the toe.
Worked from the top down with a small garter stitch edge the fairisle technique used creates a firm, warm fabric making the socks extra snug to wear
Finished sock is one size to fit 21 cm ( 8 ¼ in ) foot circumference. Sock measures 20 cm from cast on to base of heel, foot length is 24 cm ( approx 9 ½ in ) but can be adjusted as necessary
This pattern is from my Collection One book of accessories which is available either as an e-book here or in printed form here
