Little Florie Fox is knitted in stocking stitch on straight needles, the front and back of his body, the underbody, tail and ears are all worked flat and sewn together following both written instructions and simple charts. His chest, muzle and the tip of his tail are worked using the intarsia method. This particular Little Florie Fox and his scarf, are knitted in a 4ply (Super Fine, Fingering) pure wool yarn and require 4, 100% wool; 115m (125 yd) 25 g balls of yarn to complete. However, any weight of yarn can be used with these instructions — just make sure that you follow the suggested tension on the ball band and are happy with a larger or smaller finished toy.
