Little Honey Play Tent
As the sun sets, a golden glow descends. Little ones can retreat
under the canopy of a play tent made in eco-conscious yarns, adding a touch of sunshine to a child’s room or time outdoors. Under the amigurumi hive, covered in flowers and cute creatures, is a magical place to cuddle up and read a book – about bees!

Pattern notes
Beehive is worked in Yarn A from top down using amigurumi method: work sts continuously in a spiral without closing each round with ss. Pm in first st of each round, moving it up as you go. Where indicated, sts are worked around 30cm ring. Beehive is then shaped from the inside using 50cm lengths of Yarn A whip stitched through back lps of four rounds, which are then tightened and secured to hold shape.
Canopy is worked in Yarn B from top down in rows. Canopy is attached to hoop using whip sts to bottom edge of Beehive. Bees, Flowers and Leaves are worked separately then joined to Beehive and Canopy to finish. To make 70 Flowers as shown, all six shades of Yarns G-L were used at random. Using three balls of different shades is suggested as a minimum; and two different colours are required per Flower. Work over yarn ends where possible to reduce number of ends to weave in. Cc in last yoh of st before change as folls: insert hook in st, yoh, pull up lp in prev colour, yoh in new colour and draw new colour through all lps.
