I decided to make my first pattern free, so enjoy!

Spunky and cozy, Little Johnny’s Patchwork Blankie makes a wonderful gift for a new Mommy in your life! I am the kind of knitter who tries her hardest to avoid seaming and joining numerous pieces together. It can get pretty tedious! Knit up in one continuous flat piece, this pattern is a simple way to make a blanket with differently patterned squares that won’t find you sighing with tapestry needle in hand at the end. The baby blanket shown is made with affordable acrylic yarn for the busy Mom who loves her washing machine!

Little Johnny’s Patchwork Blankie is big enough to last well
into toddlerhood, and could even be used as a regular
lapghan. Try substituting different colors, or even mix a
multicolor with a solid. Knit up in animal fibers, this pattern
becomes even more soft, breathable, and full of drape.
Whichever way you use it, Little Johnny’s Patchwork Blankie or “John’s Lapghan,” I hope you enjoy it for years to come!
