This pattern was designed for the Preemie Crochet Challenge 2024.

Bust your stash while helping babies and families in need! This sweet little cannula sleeve works up quickly in a lighter worsted or DK yarn and is a fun and easy way to bring some comfort to babies and parents during a trying time.

Cannula sleeves are used to prevent preemie babies from scratching themselves on the tubes they are hooked up to, and they can also ease the mind of a parent who is distressed at the sight of all those tubes on their little one. Join us in crafting for a cause and use your yarn leftovers to make a few to donate!

Level: Advanced beginner (sc, dc, front/back loop)

Construction: Worked flat and in one piece, with a crocheted border and slip stitch join.

Yarn: A lighter worsted (4) or heavier DK (3) yarn would work. My sample used WeCrochet Comfy Worsted in Peony.
