Little Prairie
A baby blanket version of the Peaceful Prairie Blanket, a reimagining of the classic Prairie Star quilt design.
Finished size: 32” square. (81.3 cm)
Yarn: dk weight
Main color (MC): 550 yards (503 m) solid color yarn- white
Contrast color (CC): 520 yards (475m) colorful self-striping yarn or scrap yarns
The sample blanket used 1 skein Bernat Baby Sport in Baby White as the MC yarn (100% acrylic; 1,256 yards/1148 m per 350 g skein) and 1 cake Lion Brand Mandala Baby in the Honeydukes colorway as the CC yarn (100% acrylic; 590 yds/540 m per 150-gram cake).
Use what you’ve got! This is a great project to use up scrap yarns for the CC yarn.
