The Little Squares Knitted Blanket is a lovely garter stitch blanket that is made up of individual strips of alternating colour squares and rectangles of a contrast colour. The strips are then sewn together to create the blanket, with an edge added at the end.
It is an easy and enjoyable knit with the strips being quite addictive to knit!

It is a great stash busting project, using small amounts of 8ply/DK weight yarn for the coloured squares and a contrast colour for the background throughout.
Gauge is not important in this project.

The strips can be made as long as you like and you can make as many stripes as you like for the blanket, so yarn amounts will vary depending on how big you want to make your blanket.
