To make the shoes you will need approx 44 yds worsted (aran) cotton yarn for the soles (using a 3.5mm/US E), and approx 45yds of light dk or sportweight yarn for the sandal itself (worked with a double strand) and 4mm crochet hook/U.S G/6. You also need 2 small buttons for the straps, and if you like, 2 decorative buttons at the front for the girly version.
