The Ocean Waves block is a design inspired by nature made of many tiny triangles facing the same direction. In this double thick cowl, I switched things up and have two repeating bands of triangles facing in opposite directions. The yarn for this project, Hedgehog Fibre’s Merino DK, comes from across the pond in Ireland, rather fitting for this design. I love the combination of colors here, especially the flecks of speckled triangles scattered across the cowl, created by duplicate stitch—an easy-as-pie way to add a little something special to a project.
