Llevant is worked seamlessly from the top down. First the yoke is worked back and forth to shape the neck and to create the little button bands at the center of the back. Then the yoke is joined to work in the round and shaped with raglan increases. Once yoke shaping is complete, the sleeve stitches are placed on hold to work the body first down to the hem. Then sleeve stitches are placed back on the needles and worked top down in rounds. As this sweater is worked from the top down, it is advisable to try it on from time to time to check the overall fit and length and adjust width/ length if necessary by adding/ reducing raglan increases or plain rounds, or adding/ reducing underarm stitches.
